Women’s economic security, given that women constitute half of the body of society and exert significant influence within it, is among the important issues extensively addressed in the Qur’an and Hadith. For example, by legislating such financial rights as dower (mahr), maintenance (nafaqah), inheritance rights, and breastfeeding wages, the Qur’an plays a substantial role in securing women’s economic stability within the Islamic family. Using a descriptive-analytical method, the present study examines the question of what constitutes the manifestations of women’s economic security in the Islamic family on the basis of the Qur’an and Hadith. The principal focus of this study is the explication of the financial rights explicitly recognized in Islam and their role in consolidating women’s institutional position within the family. The findings indicate that, by recognizing dower, inheritance rights, maintenance, and breastfeeding wages for women within the economic sphere, Islam has provided a form of support that enables women to benefit from these rights independently. In this way, these rights function as a financial safeguard and as a means of promoting women’s economic independence and security, as well as contributing to the moderation and distribution of wealth in their favor.
